The Town of Waxhaw Dates back to the 1700's and is one of the oldest towns in Union County. Waxhaw is a short ride from South Charlotte, and approximately three miles from South Carolina. The Waxhaw Historic District is on the National Register of Historic Places, and features unique shops and restaurants, along with coffee and ice cream spots where you can meet your friends and family. There is a 4th of July Parade each year that runs through the heart of the town. Waxhaw has two iconic landmarks: the Water Tower and the pedestrian bridge that crosses over the the railroad tracks.
